Japanese Flowering Cherry 'Kanzan'
Prunus 'Kanzan' is a mid-sized cultivar in the rose family, Rosaceae. This deciduous tree species produces beautiful pink double blossom flowers up to 5cm across. Flowers open from red buds and this cultivar develops a spreading habit with age. Young leaves are copper-brown in colour.
Not usually picked.
Flowering Cherries are usully grafted or budded on a rootstock to make sure the new tree looks excactly like the parent.
