Smooth Arizona cypress Overview

When the foliage is crushed it has the smell of grapefruits, the cones are round and dark purple in colour they stay on the tree for years. Has compact blue-grey foliage marked with white resin dots, waxy whitish twigs and reddish. It is highly ornamental; it is especially popular in warm regions with hot dry summers. Under such conditions it makes vigorous growth, is long lived. There are different forms in cultivation, some fairly narrowly conical and others with much broader, looser crowns
