Sweet William Overview
Dianthus 'Sweet' are great for any garden with their interesting frilly flowers. They are evergreen perennials with narrow, lance-shaped foliage. Scented, colourful flowers are borne on stiff stems, these are often bicoloured and patterned. This series comes in various shades of red, white, pink and purple. They are well suited to borders, cottage garden settings and container growing. The flowers last from June until October and add wonderful colour to a garden area.
How to propagate Sweet William
Softwood cuttings are best taken from non-flowering shoots, in summer.
Best done after flowering has occured.
