Dais Overview

These are deciduous, summer-flowering shrubs, with about 2 species. They are grown for their silky-haired, pom-pom shaped flowers which grow in clusters. The branches have thin and very tough bark, with oval leaves. They are frost tender, min 5C, and require full sun and well drained soil. You can water the containerized plants freely when in full growth, and sparingly when leafless. Propagation is by seeds in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
