Rose 'Compassion' Overview

Rosa 'Compassion' is a deciduous hybrid tea rose cultivar in the Climbing Hybrid Tea rose Horticultural Group, with a strong, vigorous habit. Climbing roses may be identified by their thorny stems and large flowers, these are usually scented, may be arranged singly or in clusters and typically have multiple flushes of flowers from summer through to autumn. This cultivar typically grows to a height of around 3m, producing dark green leaves on red stems and scented, double pink-coppery red flowers measureing around 10cm in diameter. The flowers are arranged in groups of 3 or borne singly. This cultivar has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.

May be affected by rose leafhoppers, rose leaf-rolling sawfly. Deer and rabbits are also known to cause damage.
