Epi Overview

Large genus with approximately 1,435 species in the orchid family, Orchidaceae. Species in this genus are varied in their flower size and appearance but most grow in a tufting fashion. Flowers are generally small to medium in size and often not showily marked, many species produce scented blooms but this is not characteristic of the genus. flowers lead onto 3-ribbed capsule fruits.
