Calamint Overview

Small genus of less than 10 species of perennial species. They are naturally found in grass, scrub and woodland in Northern temperate regions of Europe, America and Asia. Leaves are normally toothed and blue, purple, pink or white flowers have 2 lips and are popular with bees. This genus has undergone extensive reclassification over time, with many species once included within this genus now better placed within other genera such as Clinopodium.

Other uses of Calamint
