Deutzia Overview
Genus of approximately 72, mostly deciduous shrubs from Central and Eastern Asia, Europe and Central America. Some tropical species are evergreen. They are typically grown for their abundance of showy, 5-petalled flowers. They grow between 1-4m tall and have opposite, simple leaves with serrated edges. Flowers are white in most species with some producing red or pink blooms.
