Japanese Maple 'Beni Kagami' Overview

Acer palmatum 'Beni Kagami' has pendent branches and very deeply cut, widely spreading 5-lobed, leaves. Its habit ranges from shrub-like to spreading and pendulous and it can grow up to 8m in height. The young foliage is dark red. Petioles (leaf stems) and winged fruit are bright crimson. The name means 'Red Mirror'.
