Flannel Flowers Overview
Actinotus is a small genus containing around 20 herbaceous perennial or small shrub species found only in Australasia. They are also known as Flannel Flowers as this genus is characterised by the presence of downy hair covering the stem, branches and leaves, creating a flannel-like texture. Flowers are typically white-pink and star-shaped, with modified leaves that resemble petals.
