Hooker's Orchid Cactus Overview

Epiphyllum hookeri is a climbing cactus species in the Cactaceae family. Originating from Mexico to Central America, it can be found from Trinidad to northern Venezuela. Commonly known by the names Hooker's Orchid Cactus or Climbing Cactus, amongst others. It produces narrow, fleshy stems with wavy edges and strongly scented, large, white flowers. This genus is known famously for its night-blooming, pure white flowers. These flower overnight and finish flowering in the space of one night, closing again in the morning. Grows best in partial shade, in very well-draining soil.
