Indian crocus Overview
This small genus of deciduous terrestrial, sometimes epiphytic or lithophytic (grow on rocks) miniature orchids in the Orchidaceae family are native to the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia where they are found in mountain and foothill habitats. They are popular in cultivation and, because of their diminutive size, are commonly called windowsill orchids. They can also be grown outside in a sheltered, shady position.
