Woodland Sage Overview

Salvia nemorosa is a herbaceous perennial species from the Lamiaceae family. Commonly known by the names Woodland Sage or Balkan Clary, it may be found growing naturally in woodland environments across Central Europe and Western Asia. This species produces attractive purple blooms on tall flowering spikes above narrow foliage. Many cultivars have been developed from this species for garden use.
