Overview

A genus of at least 3 accepted species of evergreen, woody flowering plants native to the Americas. These climbing plants are grown for their dense clusters of small bell-shaped, pink-purple or white-yellow flowers and attractive foliage. They are vines with alternately arranged leaves on branching stems and flower best in tropical conditions.
