Overview

Rhizomatous, herbaceous perennial species in the Gesneriaceae family. Also known as Canterbury bells, this species is easily confused with plants in the genus Campanula, which have similar purple, funnel-shaped flowers. The flowers are produced on raceme structures and smell like mint.
