Parasol Tree Overview
Also known as parasol tree, the genus Firmiana consists of roughly 16 deciduous shrubs and trees, with some evergreen species. They are large-leaved, typically grown for their foliage and may be effectively utilised as shade trees. Flowers are clustered, small and petalless, shaped like bells and usually coloured orange-red, cream or green-white. This genus is particularly well-suited to a woodland garden environment.
