Elsholtzia Overview
Genus containing over 40 perennial and deciduous shrubs from the mint family, Lamiaceae. These plants originate from Central and Eastern Asia and are found in dry, open habitats along roadsides and hills. Typically grown for their small, 2-lipped, tubular-shaped flowers, these are borne on terminal, unbranched racemes in dense clusters of purple or white or occasionally yellow blooms.
