Dianthus 'Garden Pinks' Overview
Dianthus 'Garden Pinks' is a series of evergreen, perennial cultivars with colourful flowers. They have grass-like, grey-green foliage and ruffled, showy, double flowers. These are produced in a range of colourful shades, including white, pink, red, purple and patterned combinations of these colours. They have a slight clove-like scent. These cultivars typically have compact growth habits, reaching a height and spread of around 35cm, making them an excellent choice for container growing.
How to propagate Dianthus 'Garden Pinks'
Softwood cuttings should be taken from non-flowering shoots in summer for best results. Requires a well-drained medium like sand. Remove the leaves from the last two to three nodes of the base. Cuttings require good light and cool temperatures. Replant in 30 days.
May be done after flowering.
