Epilobium is a large genus of over 220 annual, biennial, semi-evergreen and deciduous perennial subshrubs. They are located worldwide, with most species restricted to dry, subarctic, temperate and subantarctic climates. Some species in this genus are considered invasive for their tendency to dominate environments and others are typically grown for their flowers, which are pink to white. Some species in this genus are known by the name Willowherb.
