Pomegranate Overview

Small genus with only 2 deciduous shrubs and trees which produce showy, red, funnel-shaped flowers leading onto big, spherical, orange-red fruits. These fruits only ripen to an edible state in warmer climates. It contains commercially cultivated species that produce edible pomegranate fruits.
