Overview

Goeppertia louisae is a tender, evergreen, perennial species in the Marantaceae family, originating from Brazil. It was recently reclassified from Calathea louisae into the genus Goeppertia. It has an upright habit, producing short-stalked, patterned, oval leaves. Leaves are green, with shades of messy cream patterning down the centre and purple colouring on the undersides. Small, purple to white-green flowers may appear in summer. This tender plant grows best in indirect light and moderate humidity, keep above freezing temperatures and plant in well-draining soil for optimal growth.
