Japanese Wisteria Overview

Wisteria floribunda is a vigorous, twining climber can produce violet-blue, pink or white flowers in early summer. The showy, fragrant flowers are pea-like in shape and borne in up to 30 cm long, pendant racemes. This species is capable of displacing native vegetation and can even kill other trees and shrubs be removing a strip of bark around the plant (an invasive process known as girdling).
