Ruddy Clover Overview
Trifolium rubens is a perennial species from the Fabaceae family, with a clumping, bushy growth habit. Commonly known by the name Ruddy Clover, it typically grows to around 60cm in height. Foliage is coated in silvery hairs, blue-green in colour, toothed and divided into lance-shaped leaflets. Flowers are produced on vertical spikes, arranged in pointed clusters. These open from the base upwards and are coloured red-purple.
