Pink Quill Overview
Wallisia cyanea is an evergreen perennial in the Bromeliaceae family. It produces flattened spikes of purple flowers surrounded by showy pink modified leaves, known as bracts. This epiphytic species grows without the need for soil substrate. It produces dark green, narrow foliage marked with red at the bases, these measure around 35cm in length. This plant was recently reclassified from the genus Tillandsia into the genus Wallisia.
