Small-Leaved Kowhai Overview

This is an evergreen tree which will grow to about 3.5 to 6m tall. Its has weeping, interlocking wiry branches which form a wide rounded crown. The leaves are fern-like, and the flowers are lemon to deep orange but usually deep yellow, and are borne in dense clusters from late winter to early summer. The fruits are pods which are about 15cm long.
