Potato 'Pentland Javelin' Overview

Solanum tuberosum 'Pentland Javelin' is better known as Potato 'Pentland Javelin'. This cultivar produces good yields of tasty tubers suited for boiling. With compact foliage it is a good variety to grow in polytunnels or growbags where space is limited. This waxy tuber is a first early variety that has a yellow skin and flesh and can also be grown in containers for Christmas day lunch. Plant into containers that can be moved under cover before the first frost. Once the foliage has died down, leave the tubers in the soil until the day you need them. Pentland Javelin is one of the cultivars more resistant to Potato Scab.
