Coastal Redwood Overview

These are tall trees, with a tree trunk which will grow almost parallel. The bark is red, fibrous and long lasting. The leaves are small aromatic with bright green needles about 1in long.

How to propagate Coastal Redwood

Seed

You can propagate from seed sown in autumn or spring (but forms selected for leaf colour do not come true).

Cuttings

Evergreen current growth cuttings can be taken from autumn to spring. Deciduous softwood cuttings in summer.
