Jet Bead Overview

Rhodotypos scandens is a deciduous shrub native to China. Its common name is jet bead due to the glossy, black, berry fruits it produces following white summer flowers. It is also cultivated for its arching growth habit and attractive deeply veined and toothed leaves. Grows best in a sunny position but is a fairly tolerant garden shrub.
