Tulip 'Calgary' Overview

Tulip 'Calgary' produces fragrant cream flowers that have a slight green veining and a flash of yellow. This newer, shorter cultivar is better suited for exposed situations being able to shrug off rain and wind. Plant bulbs three times their own depth in autumn and only water during periods of drought. They prefer full sun and free draining sites making them perfect to plant in containers ready for the following spring. Tulipa 'Calgary' (3)' is classified as being part of the Triumph group of tulips. This group flowers in mid to the late part of the season and produces single cup shaped flowers that can be 6 cm (2.5") wide. This cultivar has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
