Bee Balm Overview

The Monarda genus has around 22 species of annual or perennial flowering plants in the Lamiaceae (mint, dead nettle) family endemic to North America. They are clump-forming, aromatic plants with slender, oval leaves and whorls of tubular flowers clustered into spiky dense flowerheads Commonly known as Bee Balm and Bergamot, among other colloquial names.
