Oak Leaf Philodendron Overview
Philodendron pedatum is an evergreen perennial plant from the Araceae family. Originating from Tropical South America, this plant is commonly known by the name Oak Leaf Philodendron. Originating from southern Tropical America, it makes a good houseplant, it can add a touch of the tropics to your living space. Provide with bright partial sunlight and moist, airy and well-draining soil. Check if it needs water every week or two and allow the soil to dry out substantially between waterings. Mostly grown for the large, showy leaves. The leaves are borne on long stems, they are pinnately divided into a lobed shape which develop with age. Flowers are arranged on creamy coloured spathe structures, these don't often appear in cultivation. All parts of this plant can cause severe discomfort if consumed.
