Botanical conservation garden laid out exclusively with Southern African plants, with associated 275ha. of nature reserve, and a number of feature areas to visit. There is also a lovely restaurant in the garden together with a children's play area.
At the Witpoortjie Waterfall we have a resident pair of Black Eagles nest and breed annually.
What a gem. Beautiful scenery, black eagle breeding pair can be seen flying about. Waterfall, picnic spot. I love the fact that they search bags to ensure no liquor is taken in to the park.
There are good hiking trails, space for kids to run and play, enough places to get something to eat if you have not brought anything with you.
Bathrooms are clean and well maintained.

Beautiful, calm, clean and well looked after. You can have your picnic peacefully at the venue. Entrance fee is quite affordable. There's also a hiking trail for the whole family. Oh not to forget the gorgeous and breathtaking waterfall. On site restaurant too!
Absolutely stunning!!! Worth a visit however be there early to avoid queues and to get parking. Bring your own picnic stuff, assistants with flat trolleys will transport your stuff from your car right to your picnic spot...Bliss!
There is a ice cream van on the weekend serving soft serve and and a little 'train' ride for toddlers.
Don't miss the hike and waterfall at the end.
A beautiful way to spend a weekend... don't miss it!!!

There are turtles and rabbits. You can take your dog with you there for a walk in the weekend. The beauty of the place is indescribable

R20 for students grade 1-12, R60 for adults. Really amazing place to go walk around and enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful waterfall and there is a hike you can also take to the top of the waterfall which we didn't have time for but still an amazing location for a picnic or even just an adventurous walk. Have to comment about the creepy red and black locusts around!
