Looks good from the out side but it was closed. The rest of the town was lovely worth a visit

Bought my first piece of art here!
Fascinating story of the life and times of Hugh Miller, in the thatched cottage that he lived in and the first house he moved into, when first married. Both properties and the gardens have been sympathetically restored, with excellent guidance, information and advice always available. So much better than a impersonal museum.
Wonderful historic birthplace of fairly little-known geologist Hugh Miller, Cromarty's most famous son. Well worth a visit as is the extended museum next door. Very interesting indeed.
