The new garden has secluded areas for patients to be on their own or with visitors, a rill and water feature. The highly perennial, sensory planting designed by Joe Swift, has created fabulous swathes of colour for all year round, whilst evergreens will give winter structure. The planting is bird and butterfly friendly.

Absolutely disgusting how they treat pregnant woman who are about to go into labour in this hospital.
I have planned my next birth in a different hospital because of this.
Would not use this hospital for anything.
My Mum was taken to Stoke Mandeville hospital on Saturday after falling and sustaining a head injury.
Mum was left in a corridor on a stretcher for several hours. She is 78 years old has non alcoholic cirrhosis and kidney problems as a result of liver failure and in addition to this she is diabetic.
When I collected her from A&E she had not had anything to eat all day and her head
wound had not been dressed and was still bleeding after 24 hours.
I ended up Googling how to dress a head wound myself.

A good A&E department that has sensible waiting times. Treated superbly by a Doctor called Katie. Learnt how to roll a Rizla Cigarette from the lady on reception, although it wasn't formal training, just watching from my seat.
