Phlebodium davana - Blue Star Fern Kokodama Hanging Planter
Hanging or standing Blue Star Fern
♥ THE PLANT
This rarely seen member of the ‘Blue star fern’ family has wonderful frilly deeply lobed blue fronds. A real fun fern. A rare variety of this air-purifying plant, the Blue Star Fern has sturdy, large blue-green fronds which spill from the plant in a random manner.
♥ PLANT CARE:
LIGHT: Moderate to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can burn the leaves.
WATER: Keep the soil moist at all times and don’t allow the roots to dry out.
TEMP: Average household temperatures 13-24°C.
HUMIDITY: These ferns prefer higher humidity levels where possible. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Increase humidity by spraying to retain blue green hues.
TOXICITY: This plant is not edible, but it is not toxic if accidentally ingested.
♥ THE KOKODAMA
The Kokodama pot is a handmade sphere made from natural coconut fibers which make it very light, and perfect to be used for hanging garden arrangements. You could even hang it on adhesive hooks without making any holes in the wall or ceiling. One Kokodama gives a lovely natural touch to any interior, and several bunched together can create amazing jungle effects.
