Hanging or standing Ctenanthe burle marxii Amagris Kokodama.
♥ THE PLANT
Ctenanthe burle-marxii Amagris is a species of plant in the genus Ctenanthe native to Brazil.
Ctenanthe burle-marxii Amagris is a compact houseplant that makes a bold tropical statement. Its bright green leaves are striped with alternating lance-shaped bands, and have deep purple undersides and stems. Ctenanthe (along with their close relatives Calatheas and Marantas) are commonly called "Prayer Plants" because their leaves lie flat by day, but fold upwards in the evenings. Ctenanthe burle-marxii is nicknamed the "Fishbone Prayer Plant" due to the unique leaf pattern. Ctenanthe burle-marxii is a low maintenance plant, great for beginners.
LIGHT - Bright, indirect light. Insufficient light will cause leaf colour to become more solid green and with too much light the colour will fade.
WATER - Moist but not wet soil, do not like to dry out. Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. High humidity if preferred.
TEMP - minimum temperature of 13 °C
HUMIDITY: High humidity levels are an advantage. Stand on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently.
♥ THE KOKODAMA
The Kokodama pot is a handmade sphere made from natural coconut fibers which make it very light, and perfect to be used for hanging garden arrangements. You could even hang it on adhesive hooks without making any holes in the wall or ceiling. One Kokodama gives a lovely natural touch to any interior, and several bunched together can create amazing jungle effects.
