This is the shrub that is widely grown in tea production, and once it grows on a bit, its leaves can be picked and added to the pot to make up your own brew. It is an evergreen shrub that originates from China, and while it can get huge, it is usually clipped to a much more manageable 2m or so when grown on the plantations. It produces single white flowers in the autumn, then fresh new leaves in spring which are the best leaves to pick for your teapot.
