Lightning, Lightning Damage
Lightning damage is pretty hard to miss. Small plants are sometimes hit, but this is rare. Likewise, any trees planted in groups are less likely to be hit. Not all trees hit by lightning need to be felled. However, trees in gardens should be for safety precautions. Damaged trees may become unstable in the longterm, as well as being more prone to disease and pests.
In worst cases, the tree can be completely shattered.
Severely damaged trees may lose branches or fall completely.
Trees may become 'scarred'.
Lightning conductors are only necessary if the tree is of high value or too close to buildings.
